I already had another Fisher Price Swing, the Aquarium swing which was great, but we needed another one for her Grandparents house, so we bought this one. She loves both swings about the same and this one is very cute, clean and she loves to look at herself in the mirror. I wouldn't say she has a favorite of the two, but I like that you can buckle her in to this one; the aquarium swing has a tray and it is loud when you snap it in and it wakes her.

The swing itself is very good; my daughter LOVES it when it works that is. We used it mostly to get her to fall asleep at night and sometimes for naps as well. It was also great, before she started crawling, in keeping her entertained while I busied around the house. We discovered it had some sort of short in the wiring about 3 months after we got it. We kept it plugged in in the living room and never had a reason to move it until my brother came to visit. We had to move it into the bedroom so as not to wake up my brother who was sleeping in the living room. We plugged it in and flipped the switch and nothing! It absolutely would NOT work! We tried moving it back to the living room, thinking it was the outlet and still nothing. Meanwhile my daughter was screaming her head off; we ended up having to walker her around the room for 2 hours before she went to sleep. We left it alone for about 2 weeks and then one day her grandmother was babysitting and tried to use it and it worked again?! It has been very finicky ever since, if we unplug it for any reason it won't work again for a few days - a few weeks. We have learned to work around this issue by not unplugging it at all but sometimes unplugging it is unavoidable, especially since my LO is now crawling and likes to chew on cords. Over all I think the swing is nice and fun for my LO and I would rate it higher if only it would work all the time. I agree with a prev. reviewer about simply moving the legs further apart to quite the swing. It seems that as your child gets heavier the swing gets harder to quiet, but I guess that is why this has a weight limit.

I am in the Army stationed in Germany. We do not have the same shopping experiences here that most of you do in the States. Anyway, we bought the Ocean theme of this product yesterday in Nurnberg, (16 Nov 2011) for our 3 day old. He loved being swung in his car seat, and now daddy's arms are starting to give out.
First off, mine did not come with a plug for the wall. I'm pretty upset about that, but what can you do?
Second, from the first time I turned it on, the motor was very loud. So loud in fact, we could barely hear the music over it.
I read a post that some one said "make sure the legs are as far out as possible", but this did not change the volume of the motor. I am expecting the motor to burn up in the next week or so. It's working pretty dang hard to swing.
Overview, it's a great product, if the motor wasn't so loud. It was not loud in the store model. However, I will be returning it this weekend.
